About the Author

Abdua Kkkyha was born and raised in the time of the Civil Rights movements, Vietnam War, and racial civil unrest. He witnessed the times of school segregations, the separation of public places with signs labeled “Colored not Allowed,” “Blacks only,” and “Whites only.” He witnessed the rise and the fears of the Ku Klux Klan and the civil unrest of a nation fighting within itself, and as a boy, he remembers running for his life from the Ku Klux Klan. His writings reflect his life’s journey and how love brought him through it all.
